Opportunities Knock at JPM 2020

The 2020 JP Morgan Healthcare conference is in the books and what an amazing experience it was for the Taproot Health team. The connections we’ve made, the encouragement we’ve received, the interest that has been expressed – all has been very positive. Unravelling the Gordian Knot of Precision Oncology
(The Curse of the 5% Allele Fraction)
One of the greatest challenges in oncology is understanding how every molecular signature determines the overall outcome of an individual patient. Frequently, advanced genetic testing provides answers that are more shades of grey than black and white. If only 5% cancer cells in a given patient harbor a specific alteration, does it mean that the patient is likely to respond to a treatment targeting these cells, or would focusing on the 95% be a better strategy? No one knows, but regulatory-grade outcome data tied to precise molecular reports that Taproot Health is collecting will help us to unravel the Gordian knot that currently exists.
