Opportunities Knock at JPM 2020

21 Jan

The 2020 JP Morgan Healthcare conference is in the books and what an amazing experience it was for the Taproot Health team.

The connections we’ve made, the encouragement we’ve received, the interest that has been expressed – all has been very positive. We could not be more pleased with what we experienced over those few days.

Coming into this event, our company experienced a tornado of a launch. Two weeks previously, we were able to announce that five Cornerstone Centers have signed memorandums of understanding to participate in Taproot Health’s one-of-a-kind National Oncology Database that we are building through our groundbreaking Master Observational Trial (MOT). Last week, the highly regarded, peer-reviewed Cell published an in-depth article providing scientific validation to the Taproot Health approach. And to kick off this week, we were fortunate to see GenomeWeb publish a great article about it.

On Tuesday, our Taproot Health CEO Dane J. Dickson, MD, made our company’s first formal business presentation at the Biotech Showcase, despite nearly losing his voice the evening before from whirlwind discussions with numerous individuals interested in Taproot Health at a third party reception that required a little too much volume to communicate.

Wonderful connections were made –– ranging from prospective partners and investors, to companies that conceivably will license our data or interact with our network, to patients and their advocates.

We have enjoyed fascinating contacts, many of whom represent important opportunities. We undertook a series of one-on-one meetings and followed up by hosting a reception that generated tremendous interest and attracted more people than we expected.

Let’s just say that JPM 2020 has been a very positive experience for our company. We look forward to continuing dialogues and fostering lasting partnerships with others who want to bring the oncology community together to “unite all to cure the one” – to cure each individual cancer patient.

We hope you’ll stay tuned and follow our thoughts and progress as our vision comes alive.
